RED BANK, NJ -- October 16, 2025 -- This October, SMG is showing support for the Build-a-Bike event through the Connex Foundation IMPACT Charity Project at the Mid-Year Conference, blending professional services with a powerful drive to give back and inspire change.
The Mission Behind the Movement
At SMG, our commitment to community and service goes beyond the professional realm. This October, we're putting our values into action through our donation and support of the Build-a-Bike event. Working in teams of three, ConnexFM members will race against the clock to assemble 100 brand-new 20” bikes for kids in need in the Arlington, TX area, complete with helmets and locks.
This event is the perfect kick-off to our annual Season of Giving, a tradition that aligns our culture of YES with making a tangible difference in the communities we serve.
Beyond Facilities Management
The Connex Foundation IMPACT Charity Projects serve as a unique platform for professionals in our industry to come together, share insights, and collaborate on innovative solutions while serving communities in need.
The Build-A-Bike event is one of many IMPACT Charity projects that SMG has supported. We fondly remember our participants building clubhouses, installing new mattresses, and cooking hot meals in Denver through the IMPACT's collaboration event with The Family Tree in Spring 2025.
SMG has sponsored and participated in the ConnexFM conference events for decades, and adding the extra layer of engagement through the wonderful charity events hosted by the Connex Foundation has been a way to bring our service-minded nature beyond facilities and into communities.
Paying it Forward
We look forward to the ripple effect of positivity that this event will bring, and we will carry that inspiration into our other giving events this holiday season.
